About the Anthony Wayne Band Boosters

Who are the Anthony Wayne Band Boosters (AWBB)?

Our members are primarily "band parents" – those with students in our district's instrumental music program. However, anyone interested in supporting our student's musical endeavors can join AWBB.

What exactly does AWBB do?

We only exist to "boost" or support all Anthony Wayne school bands from 5th to 12th grades. AWBB is dedicated to our students. From uniforms to bullhorns, from instruments to sheet music, if the band needs it, we provide it.

How does AWBB accomplish its goals?

As a volunteer group, we rely on fundraising and individual / business donations. We receive no financial support from the Anthony Wayne school system. We do numerous fundraisers throughout the year. We fundraise even more every four years to help cover major trip expenses.

Whoa! You sure expect a lot, don't you?

It's a lot of hard work. The care and feeding of our instrumental music program is very expensive. But as a result of our efforts, our bands enjoy a statewide reputation and we've been seen around the USA, Canada, and in London, England. It's not easy when you have a reputation to protect and a future to guarantee.

What about donations?

We recognize four donor levels in our "Friends and Patrons" program: Friends (up to $49), Sponsors ($50-$99), Patrons ($100 – $249) and Premier Boosters ($250+). Any donation is deeply appreciated.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our Friends and Patrons donor group, send your check made payable to AWBB to: Friends & Patrons, Anthony Wayne Band Boosters, P.O. Box 2753, Whitehouse, OH 43571.

When you donate, everyone wins. You get a tax deduction and recognition gifts based on your giving level. We keep the band well outfitted and help the students to keep playing well. We patronize local businesses that contribute money or products.

What if I can't or don't want to give money?

How about giving some of your time? We always need volunteers. The more the merrier. We meet the first Monday of every month (except January and July) at 7 PM in the high school band room. If you can't make the meetings, get in touch with one of the AWBB officers using the contact form.

We have a great instrumental music program. AWBB always strives to make it better.
