2012 Chicago Parade

The Marching Band over night trip for 2012-2013 will be to Chicago to participate in the parade for the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. More information coming later.

Kentucky Derby Pegasus Parade

Swanton & Pemberville Parades

Event Details: 

Two parades in one day to kick off the 2011 Marching Generals season: Swanton Corn Festival and Pemberville Free Fair.

Students should report to the school at 8:00am dressed in their Summer Uniforms (Blue Band T Shirt, Black Band Shorts, and White Tennis Shoes). The Swanton Parade begins at 10:00am and the Pemberville Parade begins at 1:00pm. We will return to the High School in between performances for a cookout provided by the Boosters. Students may bring their own Lunch (if they don't like hot dogs), but they should not leave the school during lunch. We should return to the school by approximately 3:30pm.

Roche de Boeuf parade

The Roche de Boeuf Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2011 in downtown Waterville. The parade down River Road will be at 10am. Report @ 8:45am.

Cedar Point

March at Cedar Point and then enjoy the day there. Grades 8-11.

Students who are attending the Cedar Point trip should arrive at 7:00am on Friday morning.  The cost for the ticket is $28.00.  Students can bring the money with them on the day of the performance.  We should return to the school by 11:00pm.   The uniform for this performance will be the blue marching band t-shirt, black uniform shorts, and white tennis shoes.

Cherry Fest Parade

Roche de Boeuf parade

The Roche de Boeuf parade is this Saturday at 10:00am along River Road. Students should report at 8:30am.

Swanton, Pemberville parades

Event Details: 
On Saturday, August 21 we will be participating in both the Swanton Corn Festival and Pemberville Free Fair parades. The Swanton parade begins at 10:30 (report at 8am) and we are scheduled to be in the first half of the parade. After that performance, we will travel back to the high school for a lunch provided by the boosters and then travel to Pemberville for their parade. The Pemberville parade begins at 1:00pm and we will be in the last half of that parade. After the parade there is a stand-still performance in "downtown" Pemberville. Arrival time back at the school should be around 4:00pm.

Put in Bay parade

On September 11 the band will be participate in the "Put-in-Bay Art in the Park and Historical Saturday Grand Parade", part of the "Put-in-Bay Historical weekend". Summer Uniforms. Band schedule:

  • 8:00am: Arrive at AWHS
  • 8:45am: Depart for Port Clinton
  • 10:00am: Arrive at Miller Ferry
  • 10:30am: Take Miller Ferry to PIB
  • 11:30am: Perform at Downtown Park
  • 2:15pm: Parade
  • 3:00pm: Ceremony
  • 3:30pm Free Time
  • 6:00pm: Return to Ferry
  • 6:30pm: Depart PIB on Ferry
  • 7:00pm: Arrive in Catawba
  • 8:30pm: Arrive at AWHS

From putinbay.com: This family oriented weekend offers a wide variety of family activities including the Grand Parade on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. with antique and classic cars, numerous area bands and dignitaries. Boy Scout Camp-O-Ree at the Perry Memorial. Musket & Cannon firing demonstrations. Art in the Park featuring regional artists, photographers, potters, painters, silversmiths, and displays, downtown DeRivera Park on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Toledo Memorial Day Parade

Report @ 8am. Parade @ 10. The parade will start at Summit and Monroe, head north on Summit to Jackson, then west on Jackson and finish at the Civic Center Mall.

Cherry Fest Parade
