Solo and Ensemble Please continue to work on your pieces for solo and ensemble. It will be here quicker than you think. The date is January 23rd at Perrysburg High School. If we do not know the name of your solo, please get it in ASAP. Extra help will be available over the break. Let us know if you can come in during break.
Whitehouse Fire Department Breakfast Thanks to the Jazz Band members who played at the Fire Department Breakfast. I heard several good comments about the performance and we had some good food.
Hockey Game We had 75 people who participated in Pep Band at the Hockey Game. That is the largest number of participants so far this year. Let's keep it up. The crowd and team were very appreciative of our attendance on Friday. Thanks for your dedication. The next event is a Boys' Basketball Game on December 22nd and another Hockey Game on January 1st at the Lucas County Arena. I'll have more details about the next Hockey Game soon. (It will include open skating and a lunch stop.)
Honors Band Recordings Anyone who is planning to audition for the OMEA Honors Band should make a recording before Winter Break. Audition music and applications are available in class.
Holiday Concert The Annual Holiday Concert will be held this Tuesday at 7:00pm in the High School Auditorium. The concert will include performances by the 7th Grade, 8th Grade, Concert, Symphonic, and Jazz Bands. Students should arrive at 6:15 to get ready. Please make sure that all dresses and pants are hemmed to the correct length. We hope to see many people in the audience.
